Camping and Golfing at the same time in Rocky Mountain

This entry is part 9 of 16 in the series Canada Rocky Mountain Travel

When you think of camping, you usually think of finding a nearby hiking course and going hiking or hiking, but instead of hiking, you can play golf.

If you travel about 3 hours from Calgary over the Rocky Mountains, you will reach Radium Hot Springs. There are many golf courses near Radium Hot Springs and Invermere, so you can enjoy camping and golfing at the same time. I went camping for about a week, played golf for three days, and kayaked for one day.

There are many golf courses around Radium and Invermere, even though they are near the mountains.

I think the reason there are so many golf courses nearby is because you can freely draw water from the river. Maybe that’s why the golf course was in very good condition. Each golf course has a river side and a mountain side. The view from the mountain side course is nice, but there are a lot of mosquitoes because it is on the mountain side. Maybe that’s why River Side is a bit expensive, but I still recommend the Riverside course. In particular, the Fairmont Riverside course is a must-visit. The river crossing course along a small river is very fun.

A par 3 that crosses the river.  There are many holes like this.

After playing golf, I relieve my fatigue in the hot springs in the afternoon, and then play golf again. Then I kayak and play golf again. If this is going to happen, I thought I would just play golf near my house, but I still got up in the morning, made a fire, drank coffee, had a barbecue, and played golf, so it was really fun. It was fun.

If you want to go camping or play golf, try camping at Radium.

There are several campsites near Radium, but it’s a good idea to reserve the National Park Campground (Redstreak Campground).
